Hi,
On my powerbook (Intel dual core from 2007), I'm running 10.6.4.
I think you mean MacBook or MacBook Pro. Powerbooks didn't have Intel processors and can't run 10.6.
I've seen that Disk Utility won't erase a disk that it's installed on. Logical. So I put the installation disk in that I got with my iMac. When I launch the program however, it quickly comes up with 'Mac OS X Snow Leopard Cannot be installed on this computer.'
I'm a little confused... are you using the disk that shipped with the iMac to install on the MacBook? That won't work. If you are trying to reinstall on your iMac, are you sure that it is the same install DVD that shipped with the iMac when it was new?
